Muscial Theatre Workshops
Musical Theatre Workshops encapsulate the school within their chosen musical. Each class is taught a routine from their chosen musical and selected students will narrate between each routine to help tell the story. The routines and narration are then tied together at the end of the day to create a full school performance of their chosen musical. A great way to be part of a show and experience the magic of the musical!
- Mary Poppins
- Lion King
- Wizard Of Oz
Fundraising Dance Workshops – Dance workshops are a great way to raise funds and an excuse to dress up! Choose a theme, suggest a £1 donation for the children to dress up and dance away! Project Dance will donate 15% of their fee to your chosen charity.
Whether you would like to celebrate a specific event, want help with a special performance or to tie in with a particular topic, we can discuss ideas to create your own bespoke workshop.
For example, Project Dance has choreographed numerous routines for the ever-popular Chelmsford Schools Gotta Dance – a fantastic celebration of dance at the Civic Theatre involving hundreds of children from schools in and around Chelmsford.
We have also developed and delivered short dance courses with specific topic related themes, enabling schools to have bespoke lesson plans which they have seen in practice and can deliver themselves the following school year.
With a wealth of choreographic ideas and experience, you’ll be amazed what we can put together.
Dance courses are a great way to deliver Dance in your PE lessons. Courses can run for as little as 5 weeks or for the entire school year. This flexibility enables schools to deliver Dance lessons to their students without being tied in to lengthy contracts.
Whether we come in for one day a week to see a mixture of years groups or just one morning a week to see one year group, it is completely flexible and up to you. Each lesson includes a variety of warm ups, rhythm games, the teaching of dance vocabulary, choreographed routines & dance related games.
Many teachers are not confident in delivering dance lessons. It is also extremely time consuming sourcing music and choreographing routines.
Let us do the work for you.
Teachers do not need to be present during the lessons, however if they choose to be, then they too will develop confidence and ideas about how to deliver dance lessons in the future.
Lesson plans are developed with National Curriculum requirements in mind. At the end of each dance course, these can be purchased and include dance notes for the routines taught and recommended playlists for future use.
Our CPD courses are designed to give teachers greater confidence and an increased skillset to deliver their own dance lessons.
Participants receive their own information packs, detailing everything discussed at the course, including warm up ideas, dance vocabulary, rhythm games, tips on how to choreograph, routines to teach, ways to differentiate, relating dance to classroom topics and ways to critique. Each school is also sent video footage of the routines learnt – a valuable resource for both teachers and students.
Feedback from our CPD courses has been fantastic with 100% of attendees saying they feel they could deliver ‘most’ if not ‘all’ of the ideas and activities discussed. Prices start from just £200 for a 1.5 hr CPD Course for up to 10 members of staff.
Our clubs can run either before or after school or during lunch time (space permitting). We run Dance, Acrobatic, Musical Theatre & Cheerleading clubs. Our clubs are open to all year groups and are a fun source of exercise.
Students attending our clubs learn a variety of routines with a mixture of styles & themes. At the end of each term the students have the opportunity to perform what they have learnt to an invited audience of family & friends.
