Musicals – Grease, High School Musical, Hairspray, Mary Poppins, Lion King, Wizard Of Oz, Oliver, Matilda, Annie, Wicked, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, Shrek, Starlight Express, The Sound Of Music, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Bugsy Malone, Little Shop of Horrors, Calamity Jane & Cats
Dahl & Donaldson Dance Workshop – To help in the World Book Day celebrations we have developed a new dance workshop using music which accompanies and is inspired by the books written by Julia Donaldson (EYFS & KS1) and Roald Dahl (KS2). Encourage your students’ love of books with this creative and characterful workshop.
FIFA World Cup Dance Workshop – To celebrate the FIFA World Cup, students will learn routines from a variety of the countries competing. The day will culminate with an ‘Opening Ceremony’ inspired performance where each class will enter the performance space to their national anthem and information will be shared regarding that country’s previous successes within the FIFA World Cup. A fun and informative day which will be enjoyed by all.
Dance Days – Can’t decide which workshop to book? No worries. Choose from any of the dance styles & genres listed and mix it up, each year group can learn something completely different.
Muscial Theatre Workshops
Musical Theatre Workshops encapsulate the school within their chosen musical. Each class is taught a routine from their chosen musical and selected students will narrate between each routine to help tell the story. The routines and narration are then tied together at the end of the day to create a full school performance of their chosen musical. A great way to be part of a show and experience the magic of the musical!
- Mary Poppins
- Lion King
- Wizard Of Oz
Whether you would like to celebrate a specific event, want help with a special performance or to tie in with a particular topic, we can discuss ideas to create your own bespoke workshop. With a wealth of choreographic ideas and experience, you’ll be amazed what we can put together.
EYFS, KS1 & KS2 Dance Courses
Dance courses are a great way to incorporate Dance into your PE lessons. Courses can run for as little as 5 weeks or for the entire school year. This flexibility enables schools to deliver Dance lessons to their students without being tied in to lengthy contracts.
Whether we come in for one day a week to see a mixture of years groups or just one morning a week to see one year group, it is completely flexible and up to you. Each lesson includes a variety of warm ups, rhythm games, the teaching of dance vocabulary, choreographed routines & dance related games.
Many teachers are not confident in delivering dance lessons. It is also extremely time consuming sourcing music and choreographing routines. Let us do the work for you. Teachers do not need to be present during the lessons, however if they choose to be, then they too will develop confidence and ideas about how to deliver dance lessons in the future.
Our clubs can run either before or after school or during lunch time (space permitting). We run Dance, Acrobatic & Musical Theatre clubs. Our clubs are open to all year groups and are a fun source of exercise.
When attending our clubs, students learn a variety of routines in a mixture of styles. At the end of each term the students have the opportunity to perform what they have learnt to an invited audience of family & friends.
Dance workshops to give teachers the confidence to teach dance to key stage 1 & 2. Warm up ideas, dance vocabulary, rhythm games, tips on how to choreograph, routines to teach, ways to differentiate, relating dance to classroom topics & ways to critique. Before attending workshops, teachers will be asked what they would like to cover.
